The Parish Players' production of As You Like It is now history---hopefully you had a chance to see us! Perhaps you didn't... or perhaps you know of someone who might enjoy it... or, God save us all, you'd like to see it again? In what we hope may become a new tradition here at PP, we have commissioned a talented local videographer, David Millstone (perhaps you know him better from the contra-dance scene?) to film and edit the show. Well, we got lucky: the filmed performance, on our final Saturday, was to a lively, packed house. It was a good show, too---no one was injured, showed up drunk, assaulted audience-members, or in any other way disgraced themselves. Early reports on the footage and sound are that it looks excellent. Rick Barrows provided professional-quality mic'ing, and the show was shot using two different cameras in order to have a consistent editing choice between long-shots and tight shots. David is now in the middle of editing, and reports that he is delighted with the quality of what he has to work with, in both audio and video tracks. Finished version should be out by the week of 11/22. This is not your mother's home video! It would, however, be an excellent Christmas gift for your mother!  Or father, cousin, neighbor, daughter. Copies, on either dvd or vhs tape, are available for $20. Proceeds will be split between David, to compensate him for some of the enormous expenditure of time that he will have put into this, and the Parish Players---that we may continue to do the best we can to bring you the best in small-company theatre.
